If not for my possession of shoulders that i think are too broad already and boobs that are not fashion-model small, i would LIVE in off-the-shoulder tops and dresses.
They are so feminine, flattering and very IN right now. Fashionistas everywhere are rocking and killing this style, in blouses pared with anything from jeans to pencil shirts to shorts or in dress forms.
Miroslava Duma and Zoe Kravitz show how it is done here, accessorizing with fun accessories, strappy heels and some edge. Hearts.
Leandra Medine is, of course, the Queen of odd silhouettes, so she's right at home. The white piece would be heaven with some skinny jeans and sandals. Bad-ass.
Easy also does it. Olivia Palermo and Margaret Zhang's accesories are just right. Complimenting without clashing.

DIY your version by wearing your button-down shirts open and pulled down your shoulders.

The style is also a fave among our Nigerian aso-ebi ladies..

Love it all!.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI've noticed the off-shoulder trend too and I love the elegant silhouette. I especially love the last photo, velvet is such a lush fabric.
I agree with you, bared shoulders can look even more sensual than overly exposed cleavages. There's something so feminine about that decent flash of skin.
Thank you for sharing. :-)
Hey Nedu!
DeleteVelvet is so classic and rich, but i think it takes a certain type of 'flair' and body frame to pull it off well.
I appreciate your time girl. xx.
Yassss! This has been my fav trend this spring.x
