Hey hey hey..
Miracles of all miracles, i found a blog photog! *cue hallelujah chorus*
After looking for someone who can take decent photos for my style posts without asking for my kidneys as cost for AGES, i met a very wonderful young lady, starting out in professional photography, great attitude, great talent, and so yay to more outfit posts!. (hey Tosin !)
Anyway, black and white are my top favorite colours and the white tee is a basic for me as it is minimalist, easy and very versatile. Love.
Here i styled it in two casual ways-
Look 1: I added a blue denim shirt, some metal bracelets, a print purse, a pop of color with the shoes and statement necklace (above).

Style Basic: The White T.Shirt.

So, I cut my hair.
Not the 'big chop' as most natural-hair converts do, but a chop all the same.
Like most other things in my life, i have been thinking about it for a while, i have read, meditated and researched everything from the cut style, products to use on short hair, what color options i had if i wished to change it, how the cut will affect my clothes and makeup, my emotions, what options i have in case i get bored of the look, will i keep it short for a while or grow it out immediately after, and a million other things.
I'm like that. I over-analyse everything.
But once i'm done analyzing, it takes me 2 seconds to go for it. Because i want to. No explanations to anyone. No announcements.

The Tanzanian-born model just got appointed with the coverted job of representing one of the world's top beauty brand, and i for one applaud the gradual diversification of what the standard of beauty is.
Beauty is multifaceted and kudos to Maybelline for promoting that fact!

Meet Tanzania's Herieth Paul; The New Face Of Maybelline.

Making: Plans for the major changes i will be making towards this blog and my personal branding in the very very near future. I have evolved a lot from when i started and it's time to show that growth. So excited!

Learning: to share my space with other people. This one is hard for me, but i had a friend recently stay with me for a few weeks, also had a very interesting conversation with another friend, and my obvious preference for having my own space all to myself was pointed out to me in a bitter pill. After this period and some deep thinking, i realize that i need to be more generous with my space. I'm learning.

Eating: Less and less carbs and junk. Because, fit-fam.

Drinking: Lemon water, still. And the weirdest thing, i had a few moments of craving beer quite strongly! and i don't drink beer. oh well.

Wasting: no time at all with all the plans I've got for my blog and others stuff. I decide quickly and act immediately. Say No To Procrastination.

Stressing: about money. Nothing new right? lol.

Watching: The Blacklist. Nice series, and it kills the boredom, so yeah.

Playing: Passenger's Let Her Go. Great song, talented band. Check them out.

Wondering: When i'll break even...

Feeling: Tired. Don't like it, but grateful and optimistic still.

How are you guys doing?

Taking Stock: 02.

Some weeks ago, while in the market for some work assignment, I came across this gem of a foundation, which I bought after the usual enjoyable-but-exhausting banter with the sales woman, meant to convince me that said product is the best thing since Cold Stone ice-cream and that I HAD TO HAVE IT! You know how that goes...
I got the foundation in the shade MF09.
As with every unfamiliar brand, i went aGoogling. I found very little, but let’s proceed.
What the brand says-
"L.C. IsabelleDupont Dream Finish Matte Mousse Foundation formula is based on a mechanic synergy between a silicon elastomer and a blend of hi-tech powders: perfectly spherical, with oil absorber activity, inert, they bind the product in a running movement. Thanks to these raw materials which work as filler, it reduces lines and wrinkles look. It‘s creamy body allow an easy application and an homogeneous skin result with a beautiful coverage that doesn't dry or clog the skin. It looks and feels very smooth and matte. Its make-up offers excellent coverage for an even looking skin tone. The treated pigments ensure long wear properties during the day and enriching its outstanding touch."
My review-
THE BEST FOUNDATION EVER, as far as light-to-medium coverage ones go.
Oil-blocking, skin-smoothing, matte-finish, long-lasting, all check.
I usually have to blot and re-powder my face every 2 to 3 hours or so, as my face is basically an oil-producing region. Woe is me, except for the consolation from that thing they say about how oily skin ages slower than dry skin, so woe is NOT me.
Guys, with this foundation, I went a good 6 HOURS without any touch-ups, I only had to blot some shine off my nose with a tissue much later in the day, and the foundation stayed put all day long.
I set it with a loose powder, of course, but you could wear it without powder if you have normal-to-dry skin.
See how it looks-
Wait, sorry my skin is not the best, so bear with me and its scarred discolored glory and just take a quick look :)
Application is best by hand, I tried a foundation brush and the spread was funny, and i imagine a sponge/beauty-blender is only going to absorb the thing, it’ll be a waste. It’s a mousse formula, after all.
Unfortunately, it’s hard for me to directly anyone to where I got it from, the store is that obscure, but check the internet, or ask friends and family who live in the US, you might get it.
OR, maybe, I can help try and procure it for anyone who is interested. Just leave a comment with your email address, and we’ll see what happens.

Rating:
Application/Formula- 5/5
Matte finish- 5/5
Smoothing Coverage- 3/5
Staying power- 5/5

Has anyone used this foundation? share your experience!

Cheers.
